New blogs

Richard has redesigned an re-launched The Destruction of Gog. Go and visit and pester him to write more on the atonement.

Mark Rainey has also started a blog called Edifying Discourse. Check out his ongoing series on Postmodern Philosophy.

Christians and Sexuality

Scot McKnight has a well-grounded and intelligent post on Christian attitudes towards homosexuality which you can read here. Anne also has some wise and thoughtful words on Christian morality and sex.

Blogs this week

We don't burn people we consider to be heretics anymore, we just slag them off and assassinate their character. Here's Rick Phillips discussing N T Wright in a fine case of rhetoric over substance. Criticism of Wright is rife throughout the blogosphere, but good exegetical and historical counter-arguments are not quite as prominent. Hmm.

Amy Welborn has some good quotes from Joseph Ratzinger, and The Door carries an interview with Steve Chalke.

Hooray!

After four days of being stuck in a heatless, windowless and internetless house, the builders have finally gone and I can get on with blogging again, and more importantly, my thesis.

Eastern Orthodoxy and Pelagianism

Kevin Basil has taken the heresy quiz and has some useful insights into the problems between West and East over Pelagianism, and he explains why some Orthodox might have scored highly as Pelagians.

Christian Carnival 103

Christian Carnival CIII is now up at Miserere Mei.

Theoblogian

I came across Theoblogian earlier today, and it looks like another excellent theology blog. It's a group blog similar to The Thinklings and is described as being about "how a group of unemplyed theologians spend their time." RSS feed here.
